This quilt, called, “Round the World” is from the Madison County Historical Society’s collection and will be on display for A Celebration of Needle Arts Exhibit Opening and Program on October 16 from 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm.

This quilt, called, “Round the World” is from the Madison County Historical Society’s collection and will be on display for A Celebration of Needle Arts Exhibit Opening and Program on October 16 from 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm.

Join us for “A Celebration of Needle Arts Exhibit Opening and Program” on October 16.  Jo Anne Seccurra, a member of the Thread Bears Quilters’ Guild of Sherrill will open the exhibit with her presentation, “A Sampling of Quilts” from 1:30 pm- 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church located on 116 West Grove Street in Oneida. Following the program, from 2:00- 3:00 pm, the public is invited to the Madison County Historical Society, located across the street from the church, for the exhibit opening.

A Celebration of Needle Arts Exhibit showcases many quilts, embroidery, cross stitch, beaded work, and samplers from the Madison County Historical Society’s collection. Also on display will be prayer quilts on loan from the First United Methodist Church in Oneida and a sampling of quilts on loan from the Thread Bears Quilters’ Guild of Sherrill. This event is free and open to the public. The public is encouraged to bring in family quilts for review. Refreshments will be served.
