The Madison County Historical Society’s 54th Annual Craft Days is on September 8 & 9, 2018. This is a juried craft show, hosted by the society that takes place on the society’s historical grounds located at 435 Main Street in Oneida, NY. (No direct sales consultants permitted). The event’s annual attendance for the weekend event is between 3,600-4,000 people. It is one of the society’s major fundraisers. There is a nominal admission fee to patrons of $4 per adult; children 12 and under are free; a weekend pass is also offered for $6. There are food vendors, entertainment, artisans of edible treats, free educational children’s activities, and winery sampling – all of which makes for an enjoyable family fun weekend.

Category Descriptions for Craft Days 2017
Decorative Painting: Tole painted objects; folk art, painted “found “ objects- fabric or clothing items; stenciled or faux painted objects; painted wood or glass, lawn ornaments, figurines, or other hand-made wood items.
Fiber Arts & Leather: garments and accessories-scarves, handbags; quilts; knits, crocheted or knit items, needlework, fabric, wool, weaving and tapestry, wool felted items- sculptures; leather; handmade paper items and baskets.
Floral Design: bouquets, wreaths, garlands, or other arrangements or decorative objects that use dried press or silk florals.
Glass: molded, slumped, fused, blown, or stained glass items.
Jewelry: beaded, sterling silver, gemstones, etc.
Metal: furniture, sculpture, lawn ornaments, wall hangings.
Mixed/Other: crafters who have more than one medium or items that do not fit into the categories.
Paintings, Drawings, and Frames: Pencil, pastel, pen & ink, acrylic, oil, collage, mixed media or other works on canvas, glass and paper.
Photography, Candles, Skin Care Products, Soap
Pottery/Ceramics: Sculpture or other items made from clay.
Toys and Dolls: any medium must be handmade.
Woodworking: Furniture and carvings.
Edible Art: Vendors who make/produce food items such as jams, sauces, dressings, spiced rubs, coffee, cookies and dried herbs. Repackaged wholesale items will not be accepted.
